Let’s be honest—late January isn’t doing you any favors. So instead of pushing through another stretch of cold, gray days… let’s get out of here and head to Antigua where the water is clear, the pace is easy, and winter feels like something happening somewhere else. We’ll be staying at The Verandah, an all-inclusive adults-only resort, which means fewer decisions, less planning, and more time doing whatever sounds good that day.

And getting there is easier than it sounds. From Kansas City, it’s typically one connection and about 6–8 hours total—basically trade a winter morning for a Caribbean afternoon. Antigua is English-speaking, easy to get around, and known for having 365 beaches—so you’ve got options. It’s relaxed, welcoming, and a pretty great place to forget what month it is.

This trip is meant to feel easy. A little movement if you want it, plenty of downtime if you don’t, and zero pressure either way. Coming with friends? Perfect.Coming solo? Also perfect. You can jump into the group, meet people, and be part of everything—or keep things quiet, do your own thing, and recharge. No awkwardness either way. It just works.
